HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus. HIV is the virus that causes AIDS.
While many viruses can be controlled by the immune system, HIV tragets and infects the same immune system cells that are suspposed to protect us from illnesses. Theses are a type of while blood cell called CD4 cells.
HIV takes over CDS cells and turns them into virus factories that produce thousands of viral copies. As the virus grows, it damanges or kills CD$ cells, wealening the immune system.
what would u do if ur friend get HIV?

I have lost many friends to the virus and I have some friends now that are living with it. The only thing I can do is be there for them when they need some support. They will have good days and bad days and even if they don't feel like talking about a problem they are having, just being there physically with them gives some comfort so they don't feel alone.
