Pineapple Juice, does it really help lower High Blood Pressure?

Pops has a relatively high blood pressure and someone said that pineapple juice is good for persons with high blood, does it really help? if not what other foods or drinks can help lower blood pressure?

i have hypertension. my blood pressure ranges from 138 to 148 systolic pressure over 85-95 diastolic pressure. aside from taking a medication to maintain a lower blood pressure, i usually eat fruits rich in fibers like apple, banana, pineapple, oranges, melon, mango and vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, squash, sayote,green leafy vegetables, like kangkong, camote tops. oatmeal and the brown wheat bread are recommended too. fruit juices are still the best compared to sweetened ones. for milk, drink the skim and low fat milks. you can still eat eggs but take the white only. it's more of proteins compared to its yellow portion which mostly cholesterol. you can still eat meat and chicken but not the fatty parts. avoid also the skin portions. latelst findings say that cola drinks boosts high blood pressure, so you have to avoid drinking them. while coffee (especially decaffeinated) may not really cause high blood. that i have to consult my physician yet. i drink decaffeinated tea instead, the so-called herbal teas. and don't forget physical exercises, of course. sitting down the whole day may not help in any way lowering your blood pressure. also avoid too much stress. too much work would even increase high blod pressure.

I have a friend whose blood pressure keeps shooting up, and she makes sure she destresses by exercising (she has enrolled in a zumba class) and has made it a habit to drink strawberry smoothie or fruit shakes like mango and bananas, which are rich in potassium and aid in eliminating excess sodium in the body.

I had pre-eclampsia in my 20s whilst giving birth to my daughter. I never took it seriously. I have been on medication for three months and everything went fine and normal after that. Now at my 24 years of age, I have had racking headaches due to stress went to a clinic and found out that my bp was at 140/90 and I am overweight at 130 LBS (I'm Asian by the way). After a week of taking amlodipine once daily plus every other day brisk walking and taking off salty foods in my diet, I pretty much feel happy and normal again. You see when you have high blood pressures, there is this crowded brain feeling and weakness of your limbs. Also, pineapple juice helped me. I replaced my everyday juice which is Nestea with Del Monte pineapple juice. I replaced my coffee every morning with powdered milk. If you can, quit smoking.

I have never heard that pineapple juice is a good for persons with high blood.My deat friend,if your Blood Pressure isserious,you should go to see the doctor,i think doctor can give you best advice on how to lower your Blood Pressure. Besides,i think you shoule eat more fruits and vegetables,these will help you lowering your Blood Pressure. Wish you healthful everyday!

thanks for the concern, its my father that has highblood, currently hes taking medications, im encouraging him to have some exercises but is not moving. anyway im just gonna have to serve him foods with less fats. thanks.

im not sure but maybe that was true because pineapple has fiber content that help us to take out the waste in our system it means that some cholesterol (i think) ...
