I need a NHS dentist in N yorks.

I need to find a nhs dentist who is taking on new patients. They are like gold dust, can any one help me? I have really bad teeth 16 to be precise. 3 are crowns, 8 are filled, 1 my front one is very loose ( I lost the other front one when my dog head butted me, he was only playing). I know look like Nanny mcphee. I have a dentist phobia but its time I got them sorted as I am getting to the point were I wont go out. I am to ashamed of my self. I have tried to get a dentist and in the end begged my doctor to get me a referral to harrogate dentistry dept at the hospital, to have all of my teeth removed. They are really that bad. He tried but the dentist said I have to be seen by a dentist to be referred even though he realises that there are no nhs dentists in the area. I have tried to explain it the way it has been explained to me but at the end of the day I am no better off. Has anyone got any suggestions or is their a dentist out there who could help.
