Have you heard of male cats, killing kittens?

Actually it happened to our cat, we have five kittens, 4 males and 1 female. It's tragic, the first one was lost as well as the second one. We suspect that somebody might be killing the cats, then last night, we found another dead kitten outside. What a terrible sight. Why does the male cat kill kittens? Do you heard of situations like this?

ive never heard about this...thanx for creating this discussion. im learning as i read....we have a pregnant cat and now i can protect the kittens when our cat gives birth.

they kill them to get the female into heat earlier & have their kittens instead of some other tom's you should be keeping your cat inside to protect her & her kittens (and get her spayed)

oh ,that's terrible.i never heard of this .i dont think the male cat will kill kittens.u should look after ur kittens.i never let my cat go out.stay in is much safer than out.
