Fruits Basket... no discussions!

Yeah I have to agree with you. The mix of such a dark and angsty story along with such a seemingly light way of approaching it makes this anime such a masterpiece. Have you read the mangas?

I finally got round to watching it Ive watched the first 11eps and i really like it Though the name realy doenst do it justice, (i thought it was one of those crappy sappy ones)

I love Fruits Basket lol... it was actually the first anime that I ever bought (and the second one that I ever watched -- I was so lucky to start with the good ones, cause if I started with a bad anime, I might have never gotten into it all...) and I got my sister hooked on it too :P And everytime I see your avatar here in the threads, I get all giddy like a fan girl.. it's pretty bad haha. I'm all like... Hana-chan! So, now I own the entire series on DVD and I have so far the first 13 manga for it. I was going to buy 14 and 15, but they were all out of number 14 the last couple times I was in the store, so I didn't get them, cause I'm trying to get them all in order :) I'm also a huge fan of Shigure... I think he's just the greatest character and he's so funny... not to mention cute (I know, it's pretty sad to think that a cartoon is cute, but he is :P), plus, I really like all the other characters. Momiji is a hoot, Haru is so cool, Kisa is just the cutest little thing ever. And Ayame... I don't care what Yuki says, I know he loves him back :) I would anyway... even if I was acting like I didnt :P And I just love Yuki and Kyo too :P Do I sound obsessed yet? Cause I probably am lol... I even made me and my sister matching Kyo bracelets lol... and I bought wooden beads and painted them all by hand and made them myself :) I gave her's to her for her birthday as part of the gift, and she got all giddy and did a bit of squealing in the restaurant. It was funny, but I was glad that she liked it. It was hard to hide the one that I made for myself then too, cause I wanted to wear mine, but I couldn't until I gave it to her first, cause I wanted it to be a surprise. Yea, I'm going to shut up now lol... thanks for making a topic about an anime that I absolutely love :) You rock!

I havent seen this, whats it about?

I've watched Fruits Basket...all 26 episodes in, like, 3 nights! i'm so rooting for Kyo-Tohru in that anime. and yes, you're right, it has a pretty dark storyline with too much wackiness going on in the anime..i especially love momiji-kun with all his bunny-ness!!! i remember shedding quite a lot of tears watching that series...and how i wish they'll make a second season of it. it's so short and there are much too many things that happened in the manga after that anime ending! i want to watch all of it in the anime! =)

Wellm that answers my question about who your avatar is. I'm afraid I have never heasrd of Fruit BAsket. Years ago my son was into the Ronin Warriors, and that is the only anime I have ever really run across.

youre right. this anime is funny, how thoru get involve with the zoma family which is cursed with the zodiac. how she is being loved by yuki and the others. yet the ancestor of zoma clan akito doesnt like her at all.
