I'm sorry for posting this item again but I have had some of you ask so here is a list of wedding anniversary dates and traditional presents to give. This only applies to the UK. I don't know about other countries or if they go along with this tradition. Year 1....Cotton Year 2....Paper Year 3....Leather Year 4....Silk Year 5....Wood Year 6....Sugar Year 7....Copper Year 8....Bronze Year 9....Pottery Year 10...Tin Year 11...Steel Year 12...Silk Year 13...Lace Year 14...Ivory Year 15...Crystal Year 16...?? Year 17...Turquoise Year 18...?? Year 19...?? Year 20...China Year 25...Silver Year 30...Pearl Year 35...Coral Year 40...Ruby Year 45...Sapphire Year 50...Gold Year 55...Emerald Year 60...Diamond Year 70...Platinum Year 75...Diamond. There are some missing so perhaps for those that know they might post them.

They are the same as the ones we have in Ireland and thanks for posting them Evacuee. I got a list of them from the jewellers where my husband bought my wedding ring but I have mislaid it(the dates, not the ring). I will pass this list on to my offspring and hey can look up the internet for the missing ones.

As much as I know from tradition here is mostly 25 silver, 50 gold and 75 diamond. There must be other anniversaries but not many that people celebrate aside from those 3 above. I remember people in my homeland celebrate bronze for 10 years then silver, gold and diamond.
