Not, we didn't get interupted in the hot tub, but its been AGES since we've used it. the other day we got some bleach to put in it because it wasn't too off chemically & tonight we got in for the first time in ages. It was so nice. We need to work on it some more to get it back to perfect, but we've had stuff going on for a while that just got us out of the habit of going out & relaxing in it. Do you have one? How often do you get in it? It is really nice in the winter in Texas - not too cold. I've heard that people turn off the heat in the summer, but I don't think the ambiant temp would get cool enough to make it worth while & would invite stuff to grown if I did.

Man, do I so live in a climate that is not conducive to hot tubs! Fog, damp and cold. The tub would need to be indoors, and then I am all for them. I had a horrible experience when I was about four. Some ner do well removed the safety filter that was over (?) the pump or filter at the bottom of the hot tub. I was floating in a inner tube ring, and my legs were just long enough to reach the opening. My foot literally got sucked into it and I started screaming bloody murder. My parents had no idea what was going on, but someone had removed the cover before so someone else knew exactly what was happened and ran and turned the electrics off. My foot came out sore but not cut or anything like that. I certainly remember the incident very clearly despite how long ago it was! I was a swimmer all my life and there is very little like the endorphion rush produced by 100 laps and then a good, hot soak in a jacuzzi afterwards. I would love to have the option of using them on a regular basis. I have some friends in Cali tha don't use any comercial chemicals in theirs...I think they rely on temperature and maybe...salt? I don't know. It seemed to work, but I was nearly peeing myself when they were telling me their hot tub was, 'organic'!

Our filter is on the side. In the middle are foot massager jets. But this tub really only massages 4 people tho it will seat 6 (we've had 5, but one was a tweenie at the time.) Ours is on a screened porch because I'm so allergic to insects. I guess stories like yours is what freaks out the roomie's totally blind friend who is afraid of getting something stuck in the hot tub, but ours doesn't have anything you can get stuck in.

I've heard terrible stories about filter covers being left off in swimming pools and having little children killed or seriously harmed when they became stuck on the drain (things like their intestines being sucked out of their bodies!!). I've also heard that climates like yours are terrific for hot tubs! Getting so warm in the tub keeps you from feeling cold once you get out -- but I wouldn't know from personal experience. :-(

I always wished I did but they cost way too much money for me. I could benefit a lot from one now since I am older and I am full of aches and pains.

I got the doctor to do it for my fibro. I want to call my friend who we used to do the hot tub with & let her know... Ohhh, & another friend is ending his temp job, maybe he can come over to destress some. This temp job had him working 5-7 days, 12 hrs for weeks on end. We didn't see much of him.
