A great night out

Do you remember a good night out with a difference? Back in the 70's I was in the RN and we were in Hawaii for a month, fixing up stuff after a fire at sea. We had a great time there. On the last night, looking at an early start next day, we decided to spend it drinking in the base bar. As often happens on these occasions and fuelled by a few beers, we began to sing. Told to stop by the US military police but well we didn't, the American contingent also decided to sing so it became something of a competition. Next thing the is tear gas flying all over the place, the US military police wade in with battons and goodness knows what. Well to cut a story short we didn't leave early next day, it took till afternoon for the captain to get quite a few of his crew out of cells. But hey, it was a great night, one to remember.
