I think it's not either of those. I think that it has to do with the focus in their lives? I bet they were wonderful parents. They lived for you kids? Your world was their world. When the kids grow up leave hime and don't Need them everyday the parents just seem to have any idea what to do next. The "empty Nest" syndrom adversely affects so many couple in their late 40-50's that find themselves without children at home.

Well i guess it was focus that really in the way. My dad unfortunately was a kid who never grew up. Sad to say but he was caught up being the happy go lucky guy that he is than taking care of his family.

it was focus actually that probably got in the way. My dad was a kid who never grew up. His happy go lucky antics, constant womanizing, gambling and so on and so forth. I guess my dad never really focused on being a father and a husband.
