a weight of 30kg is broken into five different weights. the speciality is that with these five we can weigh from 1kg to 30 kg exactly.so the questin is that what will be the weight of each block?

There can be many possibilities, i have just tried following four combinations of weights: 1. 1KG, 2KG, 5KG, 9KG, 13KG = 30KG 2. 1KG, 2KG, 7KG, 9KG, 11KG = 30KG 3. 1KG, 3KG, 5KG, 7KG, 14KG = 30KG 4. 1KG, 2KG, 5KG, 7KG, 15KG = 30KG With all these combinations you can exactly weigh from 1KG to 30KG. Hope i have answered your question :-)

nice kamran.you tried better, but one question how can you weigh 4kg? you can only keep the weight on one side of the balance.

Actually this condition was not given in your original question. I only worked on combinations with which we can exactly measure from 1-30kg by putting weight on either side. but if it can be put only on one side than following combination can be used. with this combination you only need to put weight on one side and you can measure from 1-30KG. 1KG, 2KG, 4KG, 8KG, 15KG = 30KG Hope now i have answered. you have not commented on my other replies in your other posts.
