Do you keep a gun at home?

I've recently watched an Academy-Award winning documentary piece on high gun-killing rates in the US. How come crime rates are higher in America more than in any other countries, at least ones that involve guns? Compared to Canada which is known to have diverse cultures and people from foreign lands nesting in it's soil, how come different people in this country can co-exist peacefully?

In the first place, don't believe everything that you see on documentaries or anywhere else for that matter. These so-called documentaries are notorious for being one sided in their attempt to promote their ideas. The last time I looked, the US also has many cultures inside it's borders. Considering some of the things going on in places like Lebanon where people are being murdered including political leaders, I would say the crime rate in the US is not as high as some would have people believe. Or are we going to now say that murder for political gain and terrorists acts are not considered a crime? Nice try.
