I've been following the World Swimming Championship on Yahoo News and Michael Phelps seemed to be the World's Best Swimmer as of the moment. He surpassed Ian Thorpe's acheievement of six gold medals in Fukuoka by winning seven gold medals and four individual world records in the process. 21 year old Michael Phelps and 17 year old Katie Koff are currently the best swimmers on the US Swimming Team roster. Both made the World Swimming Championship a learning experience to perform better at the 2008 Beijing Olympics where Phelps is aiming to win 8 gold medals in order to tie his records with Mark Spitz the only swimmer who won 8 gold medals at the 1972 Olympics. China should watch out for these 2 young swimmers if they want to dominate the swimming events on 2008 Beijing Olympics. http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/news?slug=reu-worldphelps&prov=reuters&type=lgns
