Well, I live in the US and I think we sort of have an instant gratification state of mind here. For me, I try to look ahead. I spend a lot of time with my kids, as I know on their deathbed, people usually wish they wouldve spent more time with their family, nothing else. I try to focus on how things will effect us as a family in the future and try to act in a way that will benefit us in the future.

It's the scary big picture that keeps me looking at the small picture and how to protect it. I guess that is why I love what we are doing on our ranch. We are self suffucient. What ever happens in the big picture will hopefully have less impact on my smaller picture.
