I think that boys playing with dolls is fine. My son plays with my daughters barbies all the time. I figure he will grow out of it, especially when he starts school.

My son used to play with the Barbie dolls I had. I made clothes for the dolls for sale. My hubby would get mad about it cause he thought it was too girlish. I turned around one day and saw my son pull the top down on the Barbie to look at her chest. I laughed and told my hubby that night not to worry about my son playing with the Barbie and why.

Well, its just a doll, and if you push against it too hard, you may give him some sort of complex. My son never played with dolls, but then he accidently got one in a happy meal (he's 3) and he was brushing her hair and saying she is pretty, but then he discarded it just as fast as everyother toy he gets. I wouldnt worry, its common.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. My nephew played with his sisters' barbies for years. He also played with footballs, trucks, and other toys. He turned out just fine and normal. I think it is important for a child to not feel embarrassed if they want to play with a toy that is considered made for the other gender. X-men are not as realistic as barbies. A lot of kids like barbies because they resemble little people unlike x-men who look like little bits of plastic. Don't worry.
