how to teach sutdents to learn english well ?

i am a teacher , i have taught english for ten years . among these students who i have taught , some are intelligent ,and some are not , this year , in my class there are several students that i can't understand why they counldn't learn english well , i speak english and ask them to follow me , easy words ,but they can't , remember the words , few words , they can't , i am disappointed , how can i do . please tell me dear friends

all people learn differently, for a start there a different levels of intelligence, not so much some are and some aren't. You need to find how the majority of the class learn, take into account their cultural difference's, find ways to communicate with them effectively and I'm sure things will fall into place.
