should people study a new language in her forties. ?

i got to know a new friend on the net . she said that she began to learn english recently ,and she done't have the purpost just for fun . i wonder , i think she should learn other thing sto do .

people should study anytime of their life that they want, absolutely nothing wrong with learning at any age. knowledge is not just for the young, but for those willing to embrace it.

It's never too late to do anything as long as people have a heart for it. I wish I could never stop learning, but I don't like going to lessons and stuff, so I guess I can learn by observing the world.

So what's wrong with her learning English? Do you think only young people can learn a new language? Are you afraid she might find something out you don't want her to know? Look it's hard to learn a new language, especially when people are discouraging you by saying that only children can learn --at least she'll be able to greet someone in English, and ask for directions.
