My son has myopia and I am stressed by this, cos I know wearing a spectacle is no fun and can worsen the conditions. Recently, I bought a pin-hole spectacle which believe to be able to help or cure myopia. Anyone tried and is there any positive result?

I started wearing glasses when I was nine years old. And you are right it can be no fun, but trust me it is better to be able to see. I also have broken my fair share of frames as well. I f he is really active try getting him either contacts or they have some new types of frames on the market that are flexible, You can just about sit on them and they will pop back into shape. And finally, I had surgery seventeen years ago to correct my myopia and I still see very well. The surgery cost about the same amount as about 9 years of exams, glasses or contacts and solution but, has been well worth it. Don't stress out! Myopia is extremely common and not really considered to be a big problem. If your son is genetically geared to have myopia then wearing or not wearing glasses then he will likely develope more myopia particularly in his teen years. It means that he can't see at a distance but can see up close, like for reading.

i also wonder whether pinhole glasses will improve vision. the websites that sell them have testimonials but i believe them to be fake (just made up by the company to get more customers). no i havent tried them but i am willing to try some when i make enough money to afford a pair
