Would you take the risk of getting a NANNY/HOUSEHELP from an agency?

I did! I hired a nanny for my son from an agency. And it is true that I took a big risk. They're the only person (nanny and son) left in the house when I'm at work. But luckily, I got a nanny who is very trustworthy. Thank God. At first I am really nervous thinking that when I got back home, would my son still at home? Are my things still at home? (You know what I mean) I know it is not a weird thing to think especially when you don't know the person you hired. But still I did it because I have noone to left my baby with. No option at all. How about you, will you do the same thing?

I think it's actually better to hire from an agency. You can get back at the agency if the nanny they sent you does something that is not right, like if they steal from you or if they hurt your child. It also guarantees that if the nanny, for whatever reason, decides to resign they will give you a replacement for free or at least for a minimum charge. But you also have to check the reputation of the agency. Make sure that it is a legal and registered agency before hiring their services.

I agree with you. I had at least 6 months contract with the agency. As a matter of fact, the one with me today is the second nanny. The first one went home and didn't able to come back for some reasons. The agency replaced the first one with a minimum charge. :-)

Good thing that we have now great technology where we can put wireless cam on different part of our house to monitor it remotely. You can put one into your home if you want to see if you can really trust your nanny/househelp but make sure that it will be a secret.

Nice idea! But isn't cost too much?
