Peace, quiet, a pleasant dinner companion. He is charming, witty and very engaging. "RIINNNGG!" "Excuse Me," he says. Don't you just want to scream no, I won't!!! You were here with me, I thought we were having a nice time. Now you are having an argument with your Mom about who took the trash out last night. I sit and listen to hat I have to admit is not the most attractive side of you I've seen and pick at my food wishing you had answered the question I had asked about children. Your call ends. "shall we order dessert?" "No, I'm ready to leave" You look confused as you pay the bill. I'm sorry the mood is gone. While I wait as you go get the car to take me home another cell phone goes off. I'm tempted to take it and smash it under my foot.

Thank you for a bit of validation. I see so many instances of it that it is disgraceful. Mothers out with their family and paying no attention to the kids. People on phones in cars, ect. I don't even own one. They ring in restaurants, church services, movies, and you know I was alwasys told not to eavesdrop, but when you are carrying on your conversation right out in the open it's difficult not to hear what is going on. I have been tempted a few times to interject myself into the converstaion, but figured that would count as being rude back the other way. I do however get tickled at the men in the grocery store standing in front of any display getting specifics from their wives or girlfriens re: what they are supposed to be getting.

You know I thought about it, next time that happens when you are paying for services figure out the per minute rate that the guy charges you and then tell him you require a refund of your money. It would have been different if he was being consulted by another physician or had an emergency in his family, but that was just plain old rude. He could have called the guy back!!

i well try that. my husband has a phone for work. and we keep a prepaid one in the van so if i break down but it is sit so it doesnt recieve calls and you can only cal one of 3 numbers and one of them is 911. i refuse to use one. I have had so many close calls with people talking and driving and nearly hitting me. when i see someone driving one the phone i want to stop them and steal their phones so they cant cause a accident. and i dont believe in stealing but i think that might be a good reason to start. And yes the shopping spouse phone call are halarious exspecaly when they actually decribe each of the thing they see as if they cant read the name or something.
