Try talking to the person who first posted. He seems to know a lot, and try to find out if there are any local organizations that will help grandparents. I wish you luck. I think your grandchild would be much better off with you.

Contact you local senior center (even if you are not seniors)..many grandparents are raising their grandchildren and they should be able to point you in the right direction for information or legal help.

I don't know what rights you have, I live in California. Is the boyfriend the father of your grandson? I take it he is. Well if he is the dad I think he should be allowed to see him but you should be able to keep him I think, he is loved, safe, comfortable and very well taken care of.

I am in Florida, there aren't any grandparents rights, except the rights that you are given by the biological parents, however, if you can find him an unfit parent (neglect/abuse) and take him to court then you will have sole custody, however, think of what you are taking away from your grandchild, his father. You need to fix this between him and yourself, and be aware not to step over the line because he has the right to keep you out of your grandchild's life if he wants. It's like treading on thin ice.
