Owner of Chicago Tribune changes hands. What changes would you like to see made?

A real estate investor has bought the Chicago Tribune, and he's already expressed he has no interest in maintaining ownership of the Chicago Cubs. This is probably a good thing considering, the Tribune has shown little interest (except within past two years) in fielding a winner. But, as far as the newspaper is concerned, I'd like to see a vast change, particularly in the sports columnists. At the current time I think sports columnists Mike Downey and Rick Morrissey are downright awful. Yes, they know how to write, but I know how to ride a horse, yet I don't see myself entering into the Kentucky Derby at any point in my life. Both sports writers have very little knowledge of the teams in which they report on daily. Rick Morrissey has even admitted to this fact on occasion. Although Downey has never admitted it, his illiteracy is clearly evident with just about every article he writes. In addition, Downey has got to be the most pessimistic writer on staff. It pains me to have to read these guy's columns from day to day. I continue to do so only because I have to, for other than the internet, there is no other source for Cubs commentary. Their shortcomings aren't limited to reports about the Chicago Cubs either. Their commentaries about the Chicago Bears are equally as bad. I wonder with whom did these guys sleep with, or who do they know that allowed them to land these jobs? I sincerely hope the change in ownership of this paper brings about changes within the staff writers as well. Are there any other changes you'd like to see made within the realm of this newspaper?
