what's your fashion statement?

i have this friend who wore black all the time. all her clothes were black, even her nailpolish and lipstick. i thought it was cool, then, and i wanted to follow her fashion statement. but it seemed rather inappropriate to wear black in a tropical country. what's your fashion statement?
