Do you check your discussion or just read your responses in your emails?

I personally will look at the email and then I go into my discussion that people have replied to and rate them with positive. I also try and respond to everyone that has responded to one of my discussions. What do you do? Do you just read the emails? Or do you go into the actual discussion to read it?

Well I go to each and every discussion started by me and then rate them and comment on the replies, if it is required.I did not opted for email notification when I joined mylot as I did not had any idea about it.But now I feel that I should opt for email notification when someone replies to a discussion if it is possible now.I also try to reply each and every response I receive for my discussions.

I am the same, I try and respond to everyone. I think if you want to get the emails there is still a way of doing it, but I don't know how, sorry! I also like to rate people and I hope people will rate me. Thanks!

Sometimes if I get a run of responses and my computer keeps beeping with the emails, I will read the emails. When I have the time to come onto My Lot, I will respond to them then. I like to go over all my topics on a weekly basis, respond and then pick the best discussion. Thats why I am on here today.

I have trouble keeping up sometimes to, but I really like to rate people with positives that have responded to mine. I feel that it's the right thing to do. I do get behind with my best responses because it's hard to choose sometimes. I usually wait for a couple of weeks incase I get some more responses as well. Then I will sit down and go through all my discussions and pick one in each.

I delete the emails that I get, but then I go to the discussions and respond if it's warranted. It's a good way to keep the discussions going sometimes. I definitely do rate every response I get and after a few weeks I go back to the old discussions and rate a best response...

That is the way I usually do it too. I usually respond to everybody's response, sometimes that is hard because sometimes they may put a small comment in and it makes it hard to reply. I try and keep up with the best responses every few weeks too, I am happy to say that I caught up on some of them last night. Thanks!

hello fella! i always log on to my yahoo messenger to see if some mails are coming to my inbox. i am waiting for them because it is related to myLot. when i o see them, i check my inbox and then see the title of those and then delete them and go straight to my discussion to check them there personally. i don't check now on my emails for it only doubles my time. i now go for checking straight to the discussion so i can as well, rate the person who patiently answer my discussion. if i have something to say on what he or she had said or answered on my discussion, then i will leave a comment for that to express my feelings.

It sounds like a good idea not checking your emails to save more time. Sometimes I actually go to mylot and then I go through my emails and read them to make sure I know I didn't miss anyone while I was in mylot. Thanks!

I always check my discussions cause i didn't set my preferences for mylot to email me when someone responses. With a lot of discussions and a lot of users to respond, i don't want to have a lot of messages in my mail. Adding friendster in that email.

In a way that seems like a good idea because sometimes I will have heaps of emails to have to go through. Some days I don't mind it though because it helps to sort out which ones I have something in common with and know that I will reply to. That's when a friend starts a discussion, but I do try and reply to the responses that I get to my discussions. I also rate everybodies response with a positive, unless it is a nasty comment. Which I have only come across twice. Thanks!
