Have you ever had a friend, and I use this term loosely in this discussion, who never has any money, but still goes out with you? Like you go out to a restaraunt with another couple and they order dinner, and even some beers, and then when they separate checks come they say, oh I dont have enough, can I borrow some? Or you stand in line at a club for 10 minutes, and then find out they dont have the money to get in, and what? they expect you to always be there to bail them out? I mean, if you didnt have the money, maybe you shouldn't have ordered all you did, or maybe you should say something before, so we dont feel like we have to pay, or feel like someone expects us to. I mean, giving is supposed to be something from someones heart, not something people just expect someone else to do...Oh, my biggest pet peeve! Has anyone else had a "friend" like that? I dont even want to go anywhere with these people anymore, and in fact I havent in like a month. Why are people like this? Why do people feel so entitled to things that other people have?

OMG yes, and I cut her off because everytime I wanted to do soemthing it was an issue because she didnt have much money because she REFUSED to work. So when we would go eat and such shed only have so much and ask me to get the rest. I got sick of it. Im not her caretaker and refused to let it keep going on. She felt like this was always okay because she contributed some!

I think she should've only ordered what she could pay for, I know that is what I would do, I would hate to do that to someone, and couldn't imagine doing that. It would be different if you had asked and she said she didnt have enough and you OFFERED to pay, but otherwise, she shouldnt feel entitled to go out with you or use YOUR money!

Oh I know what you mean! There was one girl who hung out with us from work and she was exactly the way you described above - I didn't mind at first but then it became a habit and my best friend and I often had to bail her out, especially if we went to a bar for drinks and so forth. After a couple of months we stopped inviting her because I found myself spending way too much money on her than on me LOL I don't know why they even bother to go out if they have no money, but I suppose they think because they are with friends, they will be covered!! I know she had money but I'm not sure where it all went but I tell ya, I never did that again!!!

I know, it drives me insane, my friend and I were just talking about this yesterday on the phone, and she was saying that her friend actually went out to dinner with her, and ordered and ate, and when the bill came she looked at them and said, I dont have any money...are you serious? That just makes me crazy!
