Just a few hours ago, actually. I was on board a spectator boat watching the America's Cup in Valencia, Spain and it was blowing 16 to 20 knots with a nasty chop caused by all the spectator boats. A dear old lady was battling to keep her feet as she made her way down the deck so I reached out my arm for her to grab and guided her to a seat.
Maybe not quite what you meant by your question but it was a helping hand!

Yes I was referring to any kind act towards another...yes that counts and I'm sure that little old lady really appreciated it.How sweet and thoughtful!

I try to reach out as often as possible to friends and family. Right now I'm about to make a call to my cousin who just learned she has cancer. I would want the very same from my friends and family as it is a very healing thing to know that your loved ones are there for you.
