I by location am a fresh water fisherman. My prefered species is Bass. But I also love fishing for carp. while they are not much for eating they are a bit challenging to catch as they are very wary by nature. And Oh man talk about a fight even the small ones give a good one. But I still enjoy the classics like sunnies and rock bass on an ultra light. It's just plain fun and you could fill a bucket with em pertty easily and em' em' good eatin.

i like both types of fishing but since i live in arkansas we do the fresh water. i love to catch anything. gar, spoonbill, bass, catfish, carp, brim, perch, oh the list. we dont keep anything but spoonbill and catfish but i love to catch and let them go. i catch a gar it is alot of fun but once it gets to bank i yell for hubby. my uncle had lost a finger to one so i am scared of them lol.

We have access to both salt water and freshwater in Southern Louisiana but we are several hours from the coast so end up freshwater fishing more often. We like catfish, bass, and redfish. All fishing is fun! I love the outdoors and go quite often with my husband fishing.

The big thing in our area is ice fishing. Though it closed for the season last weekend. I love the whitefish we catch in winter. They are great panfried or smoked. It is fairly easy to catch your limit with these fish.

I love to catch peacock bass here in florida. Although this species is not native to florida (where i live). they have grown and populated our freshwater canals and lakes. This species was released/intoduced into the everglades in the 1980's by the state to control the population of Talapia and oscars (other fishes). Peacock are native to the Amazon. in the amazon the reach 15-30 lbs and are beutiful. i wish i could post pics beacuse i have some nice ones. I also took and excursion to brazil just to fish these fish. I have one pic on my profile so feel free to look at it. oH by the way. how do u catch a carp. i often see huge ones but they don't seem to hit anything i throw to them. they usually get spooked. any pointers u can give me. Thanks T

I like freshwaters more. I'm specialised in pike fishing. I live in Estonia so not very much places to go fishing. But Finland is a great place, where I want to go soon.
