Or thinking about doing so? I heard a rumor from a coworker who said that there will be lawsuits against Howard for creating the vote for the worst situation. Personally I think it is all pretty funny and interesting fodder. In the past voters have had problems with the phone lines, that is a possibility...but Sanjaya is also Indian and customer service for our phones is directed to India... Correct me if I'm wrong here please, but I'm thinking Sanjaya could be pretty safe for a while for not only winning the worst contest, but also the whole Indian phone line thing.

Vote For the Worst has been around for quite awhile already, but this is the first season that it's actually made such an impact. And I don't think Howard Stern actually created Vote for the Worst. He just found out about it, and gave it more publicity, which is also why I think it's gotten so big this season. But I think the whole Indian phone line is taking it a little too far. I think it's just the Vote for the Worst, and all the little girls who think he's really cute.

Still, Paula, Randy and Simon, brought him all the way to the top 24. He is there because of them and only them. Howard on the otherhand is capitolizing on Randy, Paula and Simon's mistake. You and I saw far more talent in many others that did not get the chance.

yeah, but Vote for the Worst is annoying because Sanjaya just basically sucks. There's no other way to put it, and I hate having to sit through his performance week after week.

I think it is setting Sanjaya up for a false sense of security by voting for him. He hears that he cannot sing but he keeps being voted on again and again. Is that playing with his ego or what? I have never voted for American Idol because I do not want to use my cell phone minutes for that. I am also tone deaf and can not tell a good singer from a bad one. The boy is cuite and I here KFC offered him a scolarship if he wears their logo on the show. But it is all a bad joke to pull on the poor kid.

I think he is getting his 15 minutes of fame and the producers are loving the fact that one of their singers is getting so much attention. The old saying " any publicity is good publicity". You have to admit that this year the show is boring, and this kid has found his niche in it. He may be only 17, but he has a sense of self and is milking it. I predict huge Bollywood contracts as well.
