House Hunting

My husband and I are house hunting since we would like to start a family one day but it seems like it is completely out of reach financially. We have a difficult time just going to look together because we both end up so discouraged and then our night is ruined. Is anybody else in the same boat? Or does anybody have any suggestions or tips?

I am totally in the same boat, but I have already started my family. We are moving out of state soon and would love a house, but the reality is that we cannot afford one. I have told my sister that the only way for she and I to afford a house is to buy one and live in it together! (Jokingly of course.) Renting is definetely hard. I would much rather be paying my own mortgage rather than my landlord's! Just try to have fun house hunting and don't let it get so frusterating. Good luck!

I've started to branch out a bit and look into surrounding cities, there just aren't any reasonable homes anywhere! We can't go very far due to my husbands job. But I will keep branching out! Thanks for the tip.
