Parents as the first teachers

How many parents out there who leave the education of their children to their school teachers? Just because there are teachers doesn't mean that parents should just expect them to do everything. My mother taught me how to read before I've set foot at preparatory school. I was between 4-5 years old then. She works full time but always has time for my brothers' and my learning. So how come there are adults who came from a middle class or an above average family who can afford exclusive schools but are slow readers?

Oh Yeh! You are right. In my opinion the mother is the first teacher for a kid because she starts communicating with this child right at the womb stage. No teacher would take a student so close to teach any student I think. Ever lesson a mother teaches is in loving and in tender fashion. Most important thing is she doesn't conduct any test or exam even! How funny? What a great confidence in teaching? A great school, a great university! All the best from oarnamav.
