through the years, we learn a lot from being a wife. we no longer are the same sweetheart our husbands courted and eventually married. we become tough individuals who have to protect our family and our home more than ourselves.

LOL what kind of wife am i? I guess that would depend on who you ask - me or my husband ;-) but since I'm the one with the account here..I am a great wife! BUT I'm also a difficult one....mind you I can be difficult overall not just in my marriage..I'm very headstrong, stubborn i have a very strong personality and am very very set in my ways....I am a vicious arguer....BUT at the same time I'm a very understanding, protective, compassionate and loving woman....

hey...did you just post that on behalf of me? That read so much like me, I just had to ask!!I am quite like the description you have posted, including the I am a great wife bit (wink) But I do pamper my husband and he gets more massages and back rubs than I do. He gets more foods of his preference than I do (can't remember when we had prawns last - I like 'em, not him) he gets to decide when we go to sleep or watch a movie (weekends at least) stuff like that..guess its my way of compensating for all the other times he lets me have my way!

I have to say I have become a toughie in the years I played this role. I have become a mother, teacher for my kids, nanny to their whims, disciplinarian in the familiy since my husband tolerates the kids in what they want. But I am also loving, caring and protective wife and mother to my family. I would be the frontliner if somebody harms or even breaks my family. I believe that the man is the roof of the house but the WOMAN are the walls that can withstood all the trials and hardships a family will eventually face one way or the other....

I'm a wife who speaks her mind out but waits for hubby to give his 2 cents before making a decision. I am aware that any decision we make affects the whole family, so I make sure that we are both involved in any decision making process, well, most of the time. Yes, we do toughen up because, as wives and mothers, the situation calls for it. We cannot afford to not be tough because other people depend on us, and we no longer live for just ourselves but also for our kids and our family.

I guess over the years I have become the healer, the giver, the one that goes without. But that's ok. Soon the kids will be gone, and then I can do for me! But ya know...just once I would like someone to make a birthday cake for me! LOL

i am a newly wed. but i can say i am a very submissive wife...because that's what God commanded. Wives submit to your husband. i am always supportive of my husband because hes like that to me too. i respect his decisions. i cater to his needs. i am his comfort whenever he has problems... i do not nag and demand too much from him...on top of this im a very prayerful wife, i put God on the center of our marriage.
