What do you call being a good person / human being? Humans:inherently good/evil?

I realized after I posted the image of my avatar and asked what everyone could see that we all viewed it differently. I think we all have a different view on life and associate everything we think with our memory. I was curious as to what people thought their definition of a good person was. Do you think its possible to be a good person if you have done wrong things, do you think its possible to be a good person even if you have killed someone? What are the traits to being a good person? I have noticed alot of subjects on people who dont believe in religion but still feel they have strong morals so does being a good person only mean it comes from religion or are we inherently all good people? PLease reply with your thoughts of what makes a person good.

there are so many traits person in whole world. to being good person, i think not way from your heart. it means if heart said that you did is wrong you don't make it. so follow your heart. i believe in religion don't be teach with wrong doctrine. i ever watch the film phisco like that,he had two personality traits,sometime kind but sometime very terrible

yes, it is wise to listen to the dictates of a clean heart. whenever we do this, we will always have to make sure that we are not listening to the dictates of the malicious part of it.

we all have our conscience to guide us to be able to differentiate what is inherently good and bad. most of us get our moral and spiritual values from our parents and from school. if we follow the dictates of our conscience all the time, then we can say that we are being good. a good person is not a perfect person. there is nonesuch perfect one on earth. another guiding one is our instincts. such as the instinct for self preservation. if we killed someone because we are only protecting ourselves from attacks, there is nothing wrong with it. it seems that i can still to at length on this discussion. but the important point here is, we can be good by the standards of people if we will be able to follow the dictates of a good and clear conscience.

true and it can be a pretty tuff choice at times or atleast to hold onto being good all the time.
