I myself am rather fond of impressionism. Give me a Renoir, Monet or Manet anyday. I would have to say however that my all time favorite Mona Lisa, Da Vinci was a man of mystery and this is truly resembled in his art. I went to see it in the Louvre and was so moved by its beauty that i wept. It's truly an amazing piece of work. I have a replica of it at home, but every day I still watch it and am baffled by its eye for detail.

I can't even imagine being able to go to the Louvre. What an incredible experience that must have been! My favorite artist is Monet. I love his use of color and lines (or lack there of). To me his work is almost mystical in the sense that it transports me to a different place. As for modern art and the art of photography I am also a huge Ansel Adams fan. His work is amazing.

It is an extremely enjoyable experience going to the Louvre. I walked around there the entire day and still hadn't seen the entire museum. Other musea I would recommed are the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam and the Picasso museum in Barcelona, so much fantastic paintings it's incredible :)
