Does anyone in mylot land know of any good "natural" sleep aids? I cant seem to ever go to sleep early or at a reasonable hour. I can stay up all night one night and still cant go to bed before 2 at least the next night. Ive tried lunesta and similar things, they kinda work but im retarded the next day and in a daze so i dont use them. Is there anyting more natural that helps one fall asleep? I try to lay down but just lay there for hours before i finally zonk out.

Actually, I might be able to give you some advise. I have insomnia hardcore. My aunt is a nurse, and I was speaking with her about it one day. They say new studies show that insomnia is not chemical or anything. It is how we "live" our lives. If you have your computer in your bedroom. This can cause your brain to go into a sort of "comma" while you are awake. So, when you go to bed, you don't need sleep. Something about your computer, TVs, and what not being in your bedroom. Seems the only thing your bedroom should be for is sleeping. They say that being a "night owl" like ME! It causes your body sleep less, because you throw off the natural course of human sleeping. All in all. A LOT of factors can cause insomnia. If you really want a "natural" sleeping aid, that will help you sleep without the "hangover" Try MELATONIN.. its all natural. They say that if you take it for 3 weeks straight. Take a week off, or you could become addicted. Other than that, it worked for me. I still have some actually lol. Good luck. I know I hate insomnia.

thanks for the good advice. My bedroom doesnt have a tv or computer in it. there both downstairs. However i cant always sleep in my bedroom cuase my lunatic nieghbor, Im a light sleeper and the slightest noises wake me up, it hard to sleep when your freakin neighor is hackin up something fierce and making all kinds of nasty noises all freakin night long. It loud and bad, i can even hear her dowstairs on my couch which i have to sleep on alot just to be able to sleep sometimes. Its so bad a few nights i actually contemplated what i would need to drill a hole in the base board into her room and gas her to sleep! That so horrible! I heard of melatonin, i'll have to research it. Thanks for your help.

there is a friend of mine who had developed a similar problem when he had been to high altitudes. his sleep center in the brain lacked blood supply and he lost his sleep for more than 4 months. he took all possible alopathic treatment in vain and then found this ayurvedic college where he was massaged and treated for more than 2 months! he is now a normal sleeper and had to quit smoking drinking and non-veg food to remain so! he is happy about it!
