journey to my first novel

i am on my journey to write my first novel in my native language. i've started one chapter months ago and haven't put any info since. my problem is, i always have many good idea to write a novel, but in my head, i will construct the idea from beginning to the end. then i loose interest. i've been in that situation so many times. i love to write and i am good in it (my native language, of course). any suggestion to overcome this problem?

I am the same as you, I always have this big idea of writing a novel or writing some short stories. I get the ideas in my head and they are really good, yet they never make it to paper and then the stories disappear. Or I will start a story and get bored of it halfway through and move on to something else. I am not sure how to overcome this, I guess it is just finding the motivation that gets us going somehow!!
