God is both male and female..He encompasses all the traits of each gender. Yet, at the same time, He is neither. It's one of those incomprehensible facts that is difficult for the intellect, the mind, to wrap itself around. He is the supreme enjoyer, so in that way He is the dominant factor in our relationship with Him. We are the enjoyed, He enjoys us. We each have an individual and unique, loving relationship with Him, which is eternal, but of which we are only aware of in our pure state of consciousness. Right now our consciousness is muddled with forgefulness and material desires and with our misidentification with these bodies. Actually, the pure soul is also both male and female, and neither at the same time. But in our state of forgefulness, we think we are a "man," or a "woman," or whatever. We are a tiny part of God, and we are linked to Him yet we are individuals with a free will, to desire as we wish.

If God is both, why do you call God Him? Sorry, I'm just being a devils advocate

I'm not religious really but I get where you are coming from. Think in recent times, Hollywood has always portrayed God as a man and before that, since most religious leaders were men, there is a natural assumption that God is a man
