In India is cricket an overrated and hyped??

Dont you think cricket is given so much of attention ...which do u think it deserves??

Yes particularly in India and Pakistan it has given too much attention far more than needed that we forgot all other sports as i am from Pakistan i can see the downfall of all other sports just because of cricket and now even they arent producing any good results,you do remember once Pakistan and India use to rule in hockey but now whats the result they are not even in top 6 teams same with Pakistani squash once kings now none.Cricket should be played but with certain restrictions and limits so that other sports get much needed exposure aswell,what do you think?

Yes I definitely agree with you .Actually I guess a lot also depends on marketing.
Sponsors are lined up for cricketers but very few for other sports.People recognize with victory and I think thats what is needed .Its actually a vicious circle.
