Can you not see for looking?

There are times that I am in a supermarket looking for several minutes for an item and it is there right in front of me and someone has to point it out to me and then I feel such a fool. Do you do that sometimes?

Deeeky, I don't know whether I should tell this to 85,000 plus members, but it's not only in the supermarket I miss what's under my nose.. I do it just about EVERYwhere, even at home, when I just put the darned thing I'm looking for, down! ha ha ha It must be a blonde thing... it can't be to do with age, cos I'm only 6!!! he he Brightest Blessings.

It's funny you should say that because sometimes the thing I am looking for is right there in my hand lol.

I've done that once or twice too. lol. I'll refrain from saying what is in my hand though. :-)

Yes, some times. I think maybe we are not concentrating enough.. or concentrating too much. It will be quite a silly sight if someone was watching. Like when you were yelling "where's my watch?!!!" and someone just points to you and say "on your hand". :P

Yes I have done this several times lol and I have felt a fool as well I had actually stood right in front of it and I could still not see it, of course when I ask and I realise I just thank the Person lol but will not admit that I had already looked there

Been there, done that and feel so foolish when they point it out to me. I usually just shake my head and sigh before telling them I'm not normally that scatter brained. I also thank them. You do feel foolish when it happens but I swear I don't see it. Not sure why it happens but it does. Thankfully no one has made me feel worse for being that silly.

I do that all the time and not just at the supermarket. My most common one is with the TV remote. I'll be getting onto my kids asking them what the heck they did with it and it's sitting right in front of me.

Oh, this happens to me all the time. It would happen to what seemed like everyone at my old job cuz we had to walk around all day looking for specific books. It's kind of embarrassing, isn't it?

I do this with my eyeglasses. I'll wake up searching high and low for them. Only to have the wife point out they are right on the table where Ive looked a few times. LOL HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That happens to me also, once in a while. I suspect a lot of people go through this.

same here. I feel like such a doofus and the thing I hate most is I've REALLY looked. I've went up and down that aisle several times! LOL. I just give the supermarket attendant a sheepish grin.
