What's the story behind your real name?

Does your name have a meaning? I'm just curious.. coz' I believe all names have histories and meanings, right? Whether our names were based from the Bible, or based from our parent's name, our grandparent's name, or from something else.
I would just like to share the meaning of my name. My real name's "Maria Angela" and my name came from my grandmother's name which is "Angelina". The 'Maria' name's from my mom coz' she though she was gonna give birth to me and my twin on the 8th of September, which was said to be Mama Mary's birthday. So that's the story behind my name;)

My first name is Alicia, most likely derived from Alice, Latin, "truth", though some say it could come from Adeliza/Adelaide, "noble." My middle name means "reborn".

Well, my story is pretty simple. My name is Catherine Louise. (I HATE my middle name). Catherine was the name of my mother's best friend in high school. Spelled the same, but she went by Cathy. I don't like anyone to call me Cathy and go by either Cat or Catherine. (I love Cats so the nickname is GREAT!) The 'Louise' is my mother's and grandmother's middle names, so since it was passed down, I'm ok with it. I'm not sure if I will continue passing it... cuz I really just don't like it!

I like your name.. Maria Angela! sounda very girly and angelic. My name is dawn Frances.. most people think my name is dawn because I was born at dawn but their wrong. I was named dawn by my mother because her name is Liwayway. she translated it to english that's why it ecamed dawn and frances because my father's name is Francis and they made it feminine so i was chnaged to e. That's it! =)
