will you allow your young kids to have hamster pets?

is it good to allow a 10 year old to own a hamster?

I think it is a good idea to let you kid have a hamster as a pet. It will teach him respect for other things and give him a job to do with responsibilties. They need to learn at an early age how to take care of things and if it is theres they might keep better care of it.

thanks for the advise. i have allowed my daughter to have 2 hamsters at home and have been bitten by it. It worries me .. thanks

Yes. Your child will learn how to shoulder a responsibility. Anyway, you must make sure your child plays with it and not neglect the hamsters. Hamsters want people to love them, so please do so!

It depends on a the 10 year old. Some are good with little hand held pets and some are not.
