No I have not come across yet with such internet beggers. But heard that it happens. In name of illness, poverty, education, old parents - the people start begging in net. Some donate also. Some begger collects lacs of amount also. It is not fair, we should not help such guys. If we have to help, we should donate at any charitable institute which is working in reality for child, old aged people, female, animal, for protection of environment etc.

I cant say i've come across anyone like that just while chatting but i have had a couple of people e-mail me. They seemed ok to begin with, then they wanted to have money, or visit me or whatever it was & it just got kind of freaky, don't these people have any dignity? I think the best thing for you to do is to just tell them you're not willing to send them money & if they cant afford to be online then they shouldn't come on & beg others - it's pretty rude. Good luck in the future with this :)

I've never had that happen to me, maybe they are hinting that they are running some type of chat line. I have seen a lot of scams and people asking for donations because they are poor. I hate to say it but you have a computer and internet connection, you aren't poor, you just need to budget your money better.
