I want to know what really civil engineers use trigonometry for, and how they use trigonometry to solve their problems in their engineering.

You know mathematics is vital in engineering. when you hear / seen on plans the terms angle, strength, sag, torque, etc. a great deal of knowledge in trigonometry is involved. Try to see the Golden Gate Bridge, its structure, the saging of the cables, and overall design. Precise calculations were made to realize it, and a lot of methods were used by the civil engineers, may it be algebraic, trigonometric solutions.. just to make it work.
