Just wondering what other moms do for mommy breaks without feeling guilty to leave their children with a sitter or dad?

My son has never been to a sitter. He's too young and I don't trust anyone-I know I've got issues lol. If his daddy is home (his job takes him away more than half the time), I leave him with him and shop, get a haircut, or take a bath. I love shopping by myself because I don't have to drag a stroller with a crazy toddler into dressing rooms.

I go to the salon for a foot spa, manicure and pedicure, sometimes I call for a home-service as well. I spend almost all my free time with my baby so I really don't feel guilty if I ever take a little time off for myself once in a while.

My mother used to play volleyball every monday nights, and she also went to classes one or two other evenings. We got to spend some quality Dad time that day....though we never really got along with Dad, but as I grew up I begaan to really understand why Mommy needed the break!!!

Thats too good for us as a mom to have an extra activity to get relaxed for sometimes.

This is seriously what I do for a Mommy Break, I keep a book in the bathroom and then if I am in there for a while I read. Other than that I don't get a break. I am usually cleaning, sleeping, or playing with my girls.

The only mommy break that I get is going to work at night after my husband gets home from I work. I really do nobad leaving my kids because they are on there way to bed anyway. I get to be home with them all day and I am there when they wake up in the morning and sometimes get hom in time tuck them into bed. moms should not feel guilty everyone needs a break sometimes and it is good for your kids to be away from you for some amount of time because eventually they will have to go to school and they will be away from you for most of the day.

Well for me I don't have a choice lol. My ex ( the kids father) gets them every other weekend.. so I get from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening every other weekend as a break from the kids. Usually I just work a few extra hours, catch up on my housework and my sleep!

Have 5 small children (5yo 4 yo 3yo 17m 3m) it's hard getting out for a break. Its not often that I get out and when I do its mostly a trip to the grocery store!
