I was always a big lerner with flash cards. I'd go through all of my notes, study guides, and whatever else the teacher seemed to think was important and make lots of flash cards. Then I'd go through them until I had all of it in my head. I never took the SAT because I went into the Army straight out of high school. But when I went to college, I held a 4.0 for most of it, (except when I started to get burned out and didn't feel like studying anymore). Good luck!! Sorry your Biology test didn't go so good, that's my favorite subject. I have an associated degree in Biology.

You need to figure out what kind of learner you are. Visual or audio. With some tough stuff, I would read out loud. Also try to put it into different words. Explain it to the cat. If you can explain it to someone else, you own it. Highlight keywords. Then write them in a notebook and define them. Think up clever memnonics for formulas and other things you need to know. Like with the piano. The lines on one of the clefs are EGBDF Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. Stupid tricks like that can make it easier to remember hard stuff.
