The best ways to fight food cravings?

When I get upset~ which lately seems like alot of the time~ like most, I go to food as comfort~ I love eating! I almost feel addicted to food sometimes~ I just seem to forget what a diet is everytime i get around to a plate of free samples or when it's dessert time~ And everytime I eat something bad I'll feel disgusting and upset with myself that I let myself go like that~ somebody help me!?!?!?
