Carpenter Ants

Does anyone have any suggestions and effective ways for getting rid of carpenter ants? It would greatly be appreciated.

Grant ant stakes! We had ants BAD, and I do mean BAD! And I got so many different things and we went ahead and tried one more thing! It did it. I got double what they said and palced them double what they said (i think it was every 12 feet and we did every 6 feet not sure about the numbers though) and it actually worked! Now everyone I talk to about them gets them. They are the best thing I have ener found for ants!

And were these carpenter ants you used these for? We had some professional come out last year, and obviously it didn't work. These carpenter ants are big and ugly, they are not the surgar ants.
