Do you love or hate a pet?

Last year, I decided to get a bunny of my own. He was born on December 23. It was sort of like a Christmas present for myself. I treated him like my own baby. Bunny loves to be cuddled, hop around the house and sleep most of the time. His favorite food are carrots, green veggies and pellets. My bunny might not bark like a dog or purrr like a cat but he is a very sensitive creature and quite intelligent. I plan to get him a playmate next month. I notice that a lot of users here have their own pet/s. Can you share with me what prompted you to have your loving creature/s. If you don't have any pet, did it ever occurred to you to get one for yourself? Or are you not fond of any pet at all? Do you find having pet a nuisance to you? Today is Easter Sunday. You might like to drop your greetings or share some happy thoughts for my bunny. For those who dropped their comments on my profile, I am gratified. I will not delete any comments from any of you. Now, humor me with your thoughts.

I have a Golden Retriever named Maddy. She is probably the best dog I've ever owned. I am a dog person, I have had a dog always since I was very young. I used to have a rabbit named Floppy who was kind of like a dog. He followed me around and only relieved himself in a kitty litter box. I loved that rabbit. He has gone on to greener pastures now.

Its too bad I'm allergic to dog. Your Maddy sound like a good fellow eh. I'm sure floppy and bunny will be good for each other should they meet, LOL!!! Happy Easter, misheleen.

Baby, I hate to ask this.. but, do you keep rabbit in a cage? If yes, I find it hard to understand how it can be happy without freedom. If no, might you not step on him accidentally if he runs around? :P I would love a rabbit too - it is so cute. But I can't afford the resources to look after one. So that why I discarded this idea.

Honey, you make it sound like I'm a bad mommy to my bunny. "grin" Might I suggest a bear or a snake, it suits your personality well. Rabbit is not for you. They are too gentle. Happy Easter, honey! :P

I enjoy having my 1 year old Yorkshire Terrier around. Besides being a cute spoiled baby, he helps me to be more responsible and gives me good daily exercise. I have less stress after playing with him and taking care of him. Happy Easter to both you and your bunny friend!~

I was raised with 11 cats and 4 pigeons I have no problems with that at all. I once had a very small beautiful bunny, but unfortunately someone forgot to clsoe the door at night and the rat drank her blood. I went crazy for days thinking I would kill any rat I could find. My cats were all outside at the time and we were all sleeping, my bunny was just a baby she couldn't protect herself like more adult bunnies. I can tell you that any pet I have, I will protect them like my own child. Happy easter!

Happy Easter to you and your bunny. I recently got a 2 year old female shih-tzu. The reason I got her already as an adult is because I have a 10 month old and I wanted a dog that was raised around children like she was. She is also house trained which is a bonus as we are renting the house we're in and I think the landlord would be a little upset if he saw pee stains on the rug when it comes time for us to move. Even though we have only had her for 2 weeks I couldn't imagine my life without her, she is too cute and a great new addition to our family.

I always said I would not have a pet because I was too house proud but many years ago a friend of my hubby told us about a dog who was being ill treated and he would have to find him a home . he was a beautiful sable and white rough collie , when ever I set eyes on him I fell in love with him , his name was Shep , we had him for about a year before he really trusted us but then he became a friend to me , he could read my thoughts and he knew when I was happy or sad m, he would put his head on my knee and look at me with his big brown eyes , he has been gone now for over 20 years but he still has a very special place in my heart xx

I have three bunnies of my own (along with two dogs and two pet rats). I also work for an animal rescue group specializing in bunnies. They really do make great pets, don't they? I would highly recommend if you want to get a pal for your bun, take him to a rabbit rescue group, and let him pick a pal. You'll all be happier in the long run if your rabbits get along well, and you'll be helping out a rabbit who really needs you at the same time!

I love each and every one of my five dogs, I could never imagine hating them indefinitely. I'm an animal lover though, and I always love being around animals. I will admit though, at times, I can become very annoyed at my animals, when they constantly bug me while I'm trying to get work done, etc. Typically though, I treat my pets more like humans and part of the family, than animals.

I don't like pets like cat, dog, rabbit and etc.Because pets can spread more and more diseases and destroyed our health. My friend infected the germ on her dog, this lead to her born a deformed baby. This is a very miserable thing. And pets maybe bite you or your baby. So I don't like pets.

Hello, charm,i have a dog ay home and i really love it.I think dogs cute in the way that they can understand human beings very well, when I am not happy,my dog will sit at the corner of the house and peek at you,it will not disturb me,when it knows i am happy,it will approach me actively,it likes to lick my hands and hug with me.Sometimes, when it knows i came back home from work,it may wait for me at the door and wiggle its tail welcoming me.

Bunnies are the easiest to care but I discovered that they have a feisty nature. They can bite you easily when upset or startled. My bunny bitten me one time when I reached out to get his bowl. The next time I did was to cuddle him for a while to assure him I'm harmless. You don't need to vaccinate them too. Just look at my avatar, easy. Isn't my bunny adorable? A photographer friend took the picture in one corner of my study room.

I have 2 dogs and 1 cat i love them uncoditionaly and they love me the same way. They sleep with me, greet me at the door when i come home. But most of all when i'm having a bad day they make me smile and laugh.I love their kisses especially when i'm sad they lick my tears. Pets have a wonderful way of helping people through greivimg a loved one or just greiving, hard times, are great companions for the eldery, and statisics show that people who have pets are happier. I love my pets just like my children. I have three children and i have 3 pets total children 6. Proud mmommy of 6 children. When someone asks how many kids to u have i say 6. My pets are great somtimes better than real kids at least the don't talk back.lol

i dont like to ahve pets bacause of the following reason. I am sure the pets life span is definitely much lowere tahn a human as such i will not be able to tolerate their separation i really do not want to undergo that pain. thats the main reason i avoid having pets

Right now we dont have any pets living with us. I like dogs the best though. Cats are okay, but i'm not into changing litter boxes. I dont find having pets a nuisance though, I just have 4 kids and 1 on the way and a husband that's military and leaving for 6 months, so right now its not the best time for us to have a pet, it wouldn't get the time or attention it deserved.

I know this is an old discussion, but is the little bunny avatar your real little bunny? It is so cute! I have cats and dogs and I love them, but the doldrums of feeeding, cleaning up after, and making sure they aren't alone too long can be a bit of a b=nuisance. There has never been a time we didn't have animals, so it'd be strange not to. Even though they can be a pain sometimes, they give us so much pleasure I wouldn't give them up just because some days I get tired of scooping the poop.
