Two years from now it will be the 200th year anniversary of Abraham Licoln's birth (Feb. 12,2009). Plans are already in the works for the celebration. The official Abraham LIncoln Bicentennial Commission has begun authorizing events.
The U.S. mint is getting ready to release a commemorative one-dollar coin. Indiana will be making a license plate that says, "Lincoln's Boyhood Home." His birthplace of Hodgenville, Kentucky, is considering a life-size sculpture of the 16th president for the town square.
I believe that Abraham Lincoln is one of, if not the greatest presidents this country has ever had. He is definately a man to be honored. Although he was plagued with some setbacks (major depression) in is a good part of what makes this country so great.
A while back I heard the cutest little thing about him. Someone had called him two faced and he said, if I had another face, do you think I would be wearing this one.
