Best method to build camp fire?

Fire! - This is a fire I built with my brother. Gasoline was used to start it up, but with the utmost safety. As you can see we used a trail leading to the fire to light it from a safe distance.

What do you think the best method to build a fire is? Do you use lighter fluid, gasoline, or anything like that to get it going? I always start with building up the bigger logs in a tee-pee type structure. I then begin to collect smaller pieces of wood and twigs to stick in the bare areas in between the bigger logs, maybe some paper or card board if it's available. Gasoline works well if you are careful and do not put too much or pour it directly onto a fire that is already lit. That is always a bad idea because the fire will shoot into the gas can and could very easily blow up! If you do use gas it is best to light the fire from a distance after the gas has soaked into the wood. Lighter fluid is a bit safer, if you're worried. So tell me your methods of fire building.^^ Oh and of course always have a fire pit, with rocks, cement blocks, or hole in the ground to contain the fire. Wouldn't want it getting out of hand.

I Usally start out with some pine needles and leaves then some twigs and start using Bigger and bigger pieces of wood till I get it lit Good. And allways clear the area out to and maybe pile up some rocks in a circle around it.

to build a fire i first start with a few pieces of crumbled newspaper and some kindling(small twigs or dry leaves)i add the twigs slowly. When i get a nice flame i start adding little bigger wood until i have a few logs burning nicely..i love cooking over the fire pit...
