I think it was my 4th viewing before I was like, "Ooohhh, I get it." I had to reach down in for that extra human potential to wrap my brain around it. It helped to watch it completely sober that 4th time around too. *wink*

PS, I own the VHS copy (figured I save on rental money with as many times as I'd need to check it out)... BUT someone told me that the DVD version has a bonus feature where you can watch it in the actual chronological sequence. Is this true?

I got it the first time. After a few scenes I realized that the scenes in color were moving back in time while the black and white scenes were moving forward and then realized near the end they met in the middle (sort of).

it was quite a confusing movie no doubt on it, but you can understand the movie by the sequence it goes... ya it may take a few min. in the starting to understand what is all going abt.. by the middle of the movie it is quite clear that the scenes are been played back and then forward... but at the end it definately is a wonderful movie... what do u guys say|??

well i think u wud have seen the tamil movie ghajini... this film was the inspiration to that movie... it is more confusing though.... the interesting thing is the movie goes backwards i.e., there is the climax first and then the scenes preceding it... so its worth a watch.... in fact more than one watch...

I must admit I had a hard time understanding it at first, but after a few minutes, I got the gist of the story and I was desperately rooting for Leonard even though I know it was gonna end badly. I watched this primarily because of the hype it generated, but I ended up loving the movie and including it in my favorite movies of all-time list. Christopher Nolan rocks! :)

it wasn't that hard to get it once you understood that the story was backwards except for the scenes in grayscale wich was before the rest of the story happened. But i guess that i didn't fully understand it to a 100% until i watched it a second time.

One. I was lucky that my film studies lecturer told us what to look out for, but it made a lot of sense to see the movie the way it was supposed to be seen. :)

It took me only once. I love this movie though. I think i could say in my top 5 of all time. At first i didnt realy catch on to the scene transitions. But after a bit i picked up and put the pieces together.
