Why do Call Centers gets negative publicity?

Why do a lot of people hate call center agents that they even tag them as "RADIO ANNOUCERS"? The reason why we work here is because we need to earn money to help our family financially. Give me your thoughts guys.

I never hated CA's. I used to work in a call center before as an Account Manager. If they could only experience being in a Graveyard Shift, irate clients, bossy boss, they would realize how much blood we sweat just to earn for the welfare of our families...
